Background

Pathoras is a government contractor serving the intelligence community. It assists the public and private sectors in securing our nation’s well-being, interests, and infrastructure. Pathoras is dedicated to its customers’ success by creating solutions to exploit immense volumes of data, researching and analyzing fragments of various information in order to see the big picture, and having a full understanding of a situation regardless of the language. Founded in 2008, Pathoras has over 60 full time employees on contract.

Situation

Pathoras had been using QuickBooks as its accounting system and the financials were neither up to date nor compliant. Pathoras desired an accounting system that would enable them to successfully bid on cost plus contracts and it also recognized the need for a more sophisticated solution to manage its growing organization. Pathoras elected to move to Deltek’s GCS Premier in late 2014. WJ Technologies (WiJiT) was introduced to Pathoras through a relationship it had with WiJiT’s parent organization – CohnReznick.

Results

Due to the support of WiJiT’s accounting services team, Pathoras has up to date monthly financial statements and a much stronger sense of its current financial condition for the first time since its inception. Pathoras recognizes the value of WiJiT’s professionals in the areas of systems, accounting and government contracting, and the quality assurance and controls which Pathoras didn’t experience with their prior service provider.

Pathoras will continue to engage with WiJiT to be instrumental in researching and suggesting a future technology path as it evaluates GCS Premier and its new solution heading into 2017.

Solution

WiJiT was engaged to lead the transition from QuickBooks to GCS Premier. Additionally, WiJiT was engaged to assist and manage Pathoras’ accounting processes. This included developing and managing a sophisticated extraction and translation of labor details. All this under the overarching goal of complying with government contracting regulations as identified in the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).

Quote

“WiJiT is very good and very strong and it is our intent to keep them on-board. Their domain knowledge and experience is great and it facilitates the process. Questions are more easily answered and the application of their knowledge and experience allows for smoother operations. We have a much better understanding of why things are done and the way they are done.”
